These days, with the internet and MLS, who needs a real estate agent? Well, based on my experience, everyone!
I owned a direct waterfront property in Hull with the best view on the East Coast. Advertising the house brought a flood of lookers but it was difficult to find a buyer in a very slow market, even with the best property in town. And when the buyer finally appeared, I understood the value of a good real estate agent.
Every sale has unique issues associated with it. Having Cindy Bittker as my agent relieved me of days of work and stress to prepare for the sale of the house. Cindy priced the house so that it sold at the price she had anticipated, without any need for me to reduce the asking price. At every step of the way, she anticipated the questions and helped me prepare the answers. There were issues with the deed; Cindy found a lawyer who did the necessary research and prepared the deed, practically for free. The house needed two kinds of fire alarms. Cindy told me what to buy, so that when the fire inspector came, the house passed the inspection with no problems. I needed someone to clean out the house; Cindy introduced me to a wonderful man who did the job quickly and very cheaply. She made sure I knew what fees and expenses I would have to pay.
The sale of this house was a very emotional experience for me, as the house had been in my family for three generations. Cindy went to the closing and literally held my hand when I needed it.
I recommend Cindy as a thorough professional whose warm personality and dedication to her clients is exceptional.
