Park ferries serve Spectacle and Georges Islands from Boston. From Quincy and Hull, ferries serve Georges Island. Inter-island shuttles connect Georges, Spectacle, and four other islands in the park. On Saturdays a ferry connects South Boston (EDIC) and Thompson Island, with limited service to Spectacle Island.
The Harbor Islands offer ranger programs, family fun days, and special events to enjoy during your "get away." Activities are offered on many islands, in different seasons, and for a variety audiences.
Spectacle Island (105 acres) features a marina, visitor center, cafe, two sandy beaches, and five miles of walking trails that lead to the crest of a 157 foot-high hill, offering panoramic views of the harbor and the city. Supervised swimming is offered daily.
Little Brewster Island houses Boston Light, rich in maritime traditions.
Fort Revere Park
Fort Revere Park is open year round from sunrise to sunset and offers a variety of recreational and educational opportunities. The park offers some of the best coastal vistas in Massachusetts. From the top of the hill, visitors have a wonderful view of Boston Harbor including Boston Lighthouse. On a clear day on e can see most of the Massachusetts coast from Cape Ann to Provincetown.
There is an observation deck atop the historic water town with 360 degrees of unobstructed panorama views of the greater Boston area.
The Officers Quarters Museum contains artifacts and displays focusing on the area's military history from 1632 to post-World War II. The museum is open to the public on the same schedule as the water tower.
The remains of two of Fort Revere's gun emplacements are open for the visitor to explore. Please note: the rooms and "tunnels" of the batteries are often dark and damp and should be explored with caution. Parents are encouraged to supervise their children.

World's End comprises four coastal drumlins -- Pine Hill, Planter's Hill, and the double drumlins of World's End proper -- all connected by over four miles of walking paths that offer dramatic views of the Weir River, Hingham Harbor, and the Boston skyline. The Reservation's hills are traversed by tree-lined roads and dotted with tree groves. In between are broad grassy fields that attract butterflies and are managed to provide habitat for grassland-nesting birds. Open year-round, daily, 8 a.m. to sunset. Allow a minimum of 2 hours.
Directions:
250 Martin's Lane. From Route 3, take exit 14 and follow Route 228 north towards Hingham for 6.5 miles. Turn left onto Route 3A and follow for 0.4 mi. Turn right onto Summer Street and, at major intersection with Rockland Street, continue straight across. Road becomes Martin's Lane. Follow for 0.7 mile until it dead ends at entrance and parking area (70 cars). Parking in residential areas is not permitted.
